The Spanish Association for Irish Studies (Asociación Española de Estudios Irlandeses - AEDEI-) was founded at the University of Burgos in 2001 to promote and reinforce Irish Studies in Spain.
In order to achieve this aim, an annual conference is held every May in a Spanish university, and the electronic journal Estudios Irlandeses was launched in March 2005.
