Estudios Irlandeses,
the scholarly journal of the Spanish Association for Irish Studies
(AEDEI) is
a peer-reviewed, open access electronic periodical published once a
year, in March.
It is aimed at an academic audience and the interested general reader.
It seeks to become an international forum for original research in the
field of Irish Studies in an easily accessible electronic format.
All contributions may be read online (HTML format) and may also be
printed (PDF format).
For readers wishing to collect the print-outs of
Estudios Irlandeses,
printable front covers of each issue are also provided.
In March 2005 the journal made a most auspicious start with a special
inaugural Zero Issue containing fifteen essays which set a high
standard of scholarship, and which received some 3,000 visits.
Issue
I,
published in March 2006, gathers a wide range of original work by
established and by emerging academic figures working in nine different
countries. It includes 12 essays, an interview, literary translations,
a round-up of all Irish-themed books produced in Spain during the
previous year, a comprehensive year in review of Irish cinema, and
selected reviews of Irish-themed books produced during the previous
year.
We invite people doing research in the broad discipline of Irish
Studies to submit their work for the forthcoming issues.
